Amendments to the energy agreement with Russia filed by the LSV and LDP have not passed a parliamentary committee. Energy and Mining Minister Petar Skundric, SPS, told reporters in Belgrade today after the Committee on Industry meeting, that the strategic energy deal is of vital interest, set to provide the country with energy stability. Energy deal amendments rejected Serbia's strategic position, he continued, will make it one of the most important natural gas storage locations. Skundric also reminded that deadlines for the deal, signed in January in Moscow, to be ratified and implemented were already missed, and that working groups and other bodies will now engage in an accelerated process.
