Dmitry Medvedev says the unilateral declaration of Kosovo's independence undermines international law. The Russian president made the comments while addressing Russian ambassadors and permanent representatives in international institutions, during consultations in Moscow. Kremlin: Kosovo independence subverts intl. law Medvedev told Russian diplomats to pursue a balanced policy, and to resist the attempts of “certain countries or groups of countries” to realize their interests by bypassing international law. The Russian president said that it was necessary to improve the mechanisms of foreign policy for addressing specific issues such as Kosovo, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.
