Vuk Jeremic has called on all the parliamentary parties to adopt the resolution on continuing the state policy on Kosovo. “I’m calling on all the parties in power and the opposition to vote for the resolution for the absolute and unquestionable continuity of state policy towards Kosovo,” said the foreign minister. Jeremic wants unity over Kosovo MPs are due to vote on the resolution at Wednesday’s session of parliament. A debate on ratification of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) and the energy deal with Russia are also scheduled for the same day. Jeremic said that Serbia’s policy on Kosovo remained the same, and that it was of “utmost importance for there to be absolute continuity and a single state policy towards the province.“ “We’ve based the strength of our policy on a single state policy, it must be preserved regardless of the change in power, as all parties that supported it are in parliament today,“ the minister told Pink TV. He said that even though under the authorities’ Action Plan, Belgrade should not have contact with senior representatives of those countries that have recognized Kosovo, an exception had been made yesterday at the reception for France’s national holiday, as that country was the EU presiding state. Jeremic said that he was traveling to Paris on Wednesday where he would speak with the presiding EU French foreign minister, before traveling to Moscow on Thursday to have, as he put it, “high-level talks“ on Kosovo, and finally to New York on Friday to meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
