Skender Hyseni, whom the government in Pristina appointed as its foreign minister, has been invited to visit Slovenia. The invitation came from Slovenia's chief of diplomacy, Dimitrij Rupel. Kosovo official visits Slovenia A statement from this country's foreign ministry said that this will be "the first meeting between the states at this level after Kosovo declared independence and after the Kosovo constitution came into force". The visit, the statement went on, will present and identify those forms of aid that Slovenia will offer Kosovo in strengthening its administrative capacity, "above all in establishing the Kosovo foreign ministry". At the same time, the Slovenian side will introduce programs related to the said aid that are prepared for the fall by the Slovenian Center for European Future and the Slovenian foreign ministry. The statement also said that Hyseni's visit will be a chance for "strengthening of bilateral ties, learning about the current situation in Kosovo, especially when it comes to the reconfiguration of the international presence, and discussion about efforts for a broader international recognition of Kosovo", as well as regional issues. Besides, this visit comes only days before a donor conference for Kosovo, therefore, the ministry said, it will be a chance to speak about economic and social issues.
