Parliament’s constitutive session resumed at midday today with the appointment of a secretary and members of parliamentary committees. MPs elected the Socialist Party of Serbia’s (SPS) Veljko Odalovic as secretary, with 126 members voting for him. Parliament elects committees, secretary Earlier, MPs elected 30 members of parliamentary committees, 14 of which are due to be headed by the opposition. Parliamentary committees are formed on the basis of votes won, so that in some boards, members of the ruling majority will be in the minority. At yesterday’s session, six vice-presidents were unanimously elected: Gordana Comic from the Democratic Party, Nikola Novakovic from G17 Plus, Natasa Jovanovic and Bozidar Delic from the Serb Radical Party, Rajko Obradovic from the Democratic Party of Serbia, and Judita Popovic from the Liberal Democratic Party. Parliament elects committees, secretary

Earlier, MPs elected 30 members of parliamentary committees, 14 of which are due to be headed by the opposition.

Parliamentary committees are formed on the basis of votes won, so that in some boards, members of the ruling majority will be in the minority.

At yesterday’s session, six vice-presidents were unanimously elected: Gordana Čomić from the Democratic Party, Nikola Novaković from G17 Plus, Nataša Jovanović and Božidar Delić from the Serb Radical Party, Rajko Obradović from the Democratic Party of Serbia, and Judita Popović from the Liberal Democratic Party.

Parliament is scheduled to continue work on Monday, with Saturday a day off because of the St Vitus Day holiday, said Speaker Slavica Đukić Dejanović .
