President of Serbia's Helsinki Committee for Human Rights Sonja Biserko says Belgrade is trying to marginalize and disqualify the Islamic Community in Serbia. Biserko said that the Islamic Community in Serbia was very important to Muslims. "Belgrade marginalizing Islamic Community" “The government has tried to smash the Islamic Community through various services and parties in Sandzak,“ she told TV Jedinstvo. “The idea was to smash the Islamic Community in Serbia and weaken its influence in Novi Pazar, and to move it to Belgrade. The idea behind this was to radicalize the Islamic Community and Bosniaks in order to confirm the theory of Bosniak fundamentalism in Serbia,“ she said.
