The Ibarska case verdict should set in motion a chain of verdicts linked to the state terrorism conducted by Slobodan Milosevic, says Vuk Draskovic. “It’s undeniable that the order for my execution was issued by Milosevic,“ Draskovic told B92, adding that “Milosevic too would have been convicted were he still among us.“ "Milosevic ordered Ibarska ambush" The Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) leader said that “the same agents that followed journalist Slavko Curuvija followed me too, and then head of State Security in Belgrade, Milan Radonjic, gave the sign to begin the liquidation operation in both cases.“ Radonjic himself was acquitted of all charges yesterday. “It was Radonjic who told the agents to hide as Curuvija approached the entrance to his building, and it was him that called [Special Operations Unit commander] Milorad Ulemek to tell him what car I was in on the Ibarska Highway on my way to Ravna Gora,“ said Draskovic. He said that “the structures in the current security services are hampering the investigations into Curuvija’s murder and other suspicious political murders.“ Draskovic said that it was possible to bring new charges over the assassination attempt on him in Budva, even though the perpetrators have already been officially condemned after the public prosecutor took over the case.
