A Serb, Predrag Đorđević, has been taken into custody in Kosovska Mitrovica, following an armed attack on a police station.

A Serb, Predrag Djordjevic, has been taken into custody in Kosovska Mitrovica, following an armed attack on a police station. Earlier that evening, he had also raised the flag of the Car Lazar Guard on top of the dome of a local mosque. Serb charged with police station attack The investigative judge at the District Court in Kosovska Mitrovica remanded Djordjevic in custody for one month on suspicion of terrorism and inciting national, racial, religious and ethnic hate, strife, and intolerance. His legal counsel Ljubomir Pantovic said that Djordjevic was suspected of entering a police station in southern Kosovska Mitrovica armed with a pistol in the early hours of June 14,, and shooting one police officer, injuring him. Earlier that same night, Djordjevic allegedly raised the flag of the Car Lazar Guard above the dome of the local mosque in the center of the southern part of the town, inciting anger among the local Muslim population, Pantovic said. He added that Djordjevic had been seriously injured during the attack, that his health had improved, and that he had been transferred last night from Pristina hospital to a prison hospital in Gnjilane. The identity of the defendant had been uncertain until yesterday, but, during the custody hearing, he confirmed his name was indeed Predrag Djordjevic, and that his place of residence was Skrzuti village in the municipality of Uzice.
