Bosnia issues new Srebrenica indictment

The Bosnia-Herzegovina Prosecution has indicted Milisav Gavric (60) from Srebrenica on charges of crimes against humanity. The indictment states that from July 10 to 19, Gavric, who was a deputy police commander in Srebrenica, committed, abetted, ordered and supported criminal acts, whose goal was the persecution of the Bosniak population on national, ethnic and religious grounds. Along with other members of the Serb military and police, Gavric helped divide Bosniak male and female civilians, after which many of them were never heard of or seen again. The indictment against Gavric has been forwarded to the Bosnia-Herzegovina courts, the prosecution has announced.
