Serb Radical Party (SRS) Secretary General Aleksandar Vucic says his party will next week stage a huge protest in the capital. The reason for this is the outgoing acting mayor's decision to schedule the first session of the new Belgrade assembly for July 14. Radicals announce big demo in Belgrade The Radicals, which have forged a coalition on the local Belgrade level with the Socialists (SPS) and the DSS-NS, view this as the Democratic Party (DS) obstruction. Vucic, who is seen as the likely new mayor, was visiting a Zemun neighborhood on Sunday when he announced that the new coalition will organize the gathering to protest current city authorities' "opposition to democratic principles". "The DS has shown with its anti-democratic behavior that it does not respect the legal order, Constitution and laws of Serbia, while its only goal is to remain in power at any cost," the SRS official said.
