War Crimes Prosecution has indicted Bora Trbojevic for the murder of five Croat civilians and torture of hostages in Croatia in 1991. The prosecution charges Trbojevic, a resident of Beska, of attacking Croat civilians, as well as imprisonment and torture of hostages, which he allegedly committed as a member of the Bilogor Brigade – which operated as part of Velika Petravica territorial defense. Man indicted for 1991 war crime in Croatia Trbojevic is also charged with killing five civilians in the municipality of Grubisno Polje. According to a statement from the prosecution, the events that took place in the Toplovica and Velika Petrovica villages were already subject of a trial conducted in front of the Municipal Court in Bjelovar, Croatia, when Trbojevic was sentenced in absentia to 20 years in prison. The so-called Trbojevic Case is one of twelve that the Croatian State Prosecution has referred to its the Serbian counterparts, based on a cooperation agreement on prosecuting war crimes suspects.
