Dragan Šutanovac today unveiled a memorial to the guards and patients of a Belgrade hospital killed in a NATO air strike in 1999.

Dragan Sutanovac today unveiled a memorial to the guards and patients of a Belgrade hospital killed in a NATO air strike in 1999. The ceremony in front of the Dr. Draisa Misovic hospital included military and state honors. Memorial unveiled for NATO victims In the presence of parents and friends of the seven killed soldiers and three civilians, the outgoing defense minister said "their sacrifice should be a reminder and lesson to all that they cannot play with the lives of others". Sutanovac added that all the victims were innocent, and that "the world became non the better after their sacrifice". Sutanovac announced that in the coming years a large monument would be put up in memory of all soldiers who lost their lives, "not only in NATO's 1999 attack, but also in subsequent operations".
