New Serbia (NS) official Borislav Borovic says the text of a coalition agreement between the DSS-NS, SRS and SPS on cooperation in Belgrade will be signed on Monday. Borovic, who is president of the NS’s local committee in Belgrade, said after today’s talks that the three parties had agreed that Serb Radical Party (SRS) candidate Aleksandar Vucic would be mayor. According to the results of the City Electoral Commission, the SRS won 40 seats in Belgrade, the DSS-NS 12, and the Socialists six. Meanwhile, Vucic and SPS official Aleksandar Antic said that “tripartite talks” had been held today on forming a local government in Belgrade. The SRS official said that his party, the DSS-NS and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) had “moved closer to a final solution” on forming a city government. He said that he expected the SRS to tie up a coalition agreement to form a new local authority in the next few days, adding that he expected that those parties would inform Acting Mayor Zoran Alimpic (DS) of the formation of a new coalition at city level very soon. Antic confirmed that talks had been held today. According to the SPS official, talks were going well, and the public would be informed of their outcome in due course.
