SRS, SPS, DSS form coalition in Vrbas
The Serb Radical Party (SRS), the Socialists, and the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) have signed a coalition agreement in Vrbas.

The Serb Radical Party (SRS), the Socialists, and the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) have signed a coalition agreement in Vrbas. The coalition agreement was signed by the presidents of the three parties’ respective municipal committees— Igor Becic, Jovan Miljanic and Miroslav Aleksic. SRS, SPS, DSS form coalition in Vrbas Out of 36 committee members, the SRS gained 16 seats at the local elections, the Socialists four, and the DSS three. At the signing of the coalition agreement, they announced that they would continue the good cooperation and successful leadership of the Vrbas municipality over the next four years, with the aim of, as they put it, raising the standard of living in the municipality as soon as possible. Vrbas was led by the SRS-Socialist-DSS coalition during the previous mandate, after the 2004 elections when the SRS gained 14 seats, the Socialists four, and the DSS two. The opposition “For a European Serbia – Boris Tadic” coalition won 13 seats, compared to the nine seats won by the Democratic Party in 2004.
