The local elections in Kosovo were just another example of manipulation of the local Serbs, V-P of the Serb National Council Rada Trajkovic has told B92. Trajkovic said that the work of the local assemblies would have no effect, as the authorities in Pristina had the support of the international community. "Kosovo elections nothing but manipulation" “Well, I think everything that Mr. [Vojislav] Kostunica and the ‘nationalist bloc’ have done has been a complete manipulation of the Serbs in Kosovo,” she said. The Kosovo Serb official added that “Kostunica doesn’t believe that Serbia can maintain its full sovereign capacity.” “I think he understands that reality,” said Trajkovic. She said that there was no territorial integrity in Gracanica. “Down there, you have some people who will form some sort of presidential municipality that will not have the institutional mechanisms needed to get anything going to the benefit of the community that elected them, because it’s quite simply illegal. It has no institutional infrastructure, or even a building in which to house 41 councilors,” the vice-president of the Serb National Council explained.
