Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac (DS) says that budgetary inspectors should look into the dealings of the Kosovo Ministry. “I think that it will be very important for budgetary inspectors to look into the dealings of other ministries too, but the Kosovo Ministry first and foremost, in the same way it recently investigated the Defense Ministry,” Sutanovac told journalists after a visit to the Cepotin army base, 5km from Bujanovac. He expressed his concern for the situation in Gracanica. “The situation in Gracanica is very bad... We need an accountable administration and a responsible approach to these people,“ said Sutanovac. The defense minister visited Gracanica on May 5 to deliver a consignment of medication and sanitary material to the town’s health center on behalf of his and his father-in-law singer Miroslava Ilic’s families. He said that people in Gracanica had “summoned the strength to live there and don’t regret doing so,“ but that they were seeking the same conditions as people in northern Kosovo who were closer to the authorities. “It’s a complete injustice and has to be changed,“ insisted Sutanovac. The defense minister repeated that the Serbian Army and KFOR personnel in Kosovo had partnership relations and that this was, above all, in the interests of the Serbs living in the province.
