A commemoration was held in the southern city of Nis today for the 15 civilians who died in a NATO air strike nine years ago. The attack, which took place before noon on May 7, 1999, left 15 people dead and scores of others severely injured. Nis cluster bomb victims remembered The authorities said that several loads of cluster bombs were dropped in the area between the city's university, market place and hospital. During the NATO bombing campaign against Serbia, Nis was attacked with 324 bombs and missiles. 55 civilians, police officers and soldiers lost their lives.
