France and Germany have proposed that their countries allow 100 news scholarships for Serbian students. The French embassy in Belgrade yesterday announced that the two countries' foreign ministers, Bernard Kouchner and Walter Steinmeirer, have also called on other EU member states to join this initiative. Koucher and Steinmeier have also called on the European Commission to consider the possibility to increase the funds set aside for the students in the Western Balkans, within the Erasmus-Mundus program, the statement said.
