Deputy Democratic Party (DS) leader Dusan Petrovic says that "anyone who supports European integration and denfese of Kosovo is welcome in the next government." The outgoing justice minister told B92 that the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) leader and prime minister, Vojislav Kostunica, as well as the president of the Liberal-Democrats (LDP) Cedomir Jovanovic, will be his party's "welcome political allies" – if they support the Democrats' policies. Democrats: DSS, LDP are welcome Petrovic said he was convinced that the coalition led by DS leader and Serbia's president Boris Tadic will form the backbone of the next cabinet. "I don't believe the voters' have changed their minds much since the presidential elections, when they clearly said they were in favor of the European integrations," he said of the early February vote. Petrovic also said that Serbia should sign the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) as soon as it's on the table, denying DSS accusations that this would mean recognizing Kosovo's secession,. Instead, he said, the move would "affirm Serbia's position about respecting territorial integrity and Resolution 1244". Petrovic also said Serbia will seek support from the UN General Assembly in September to "seek opinion over Kosovo from the International Court of Justice".
