New Serbia, NS, leader Velimir Ilic says the DSS-NS coalition is the only genuine link between the nation, and the country's politics. "We have but one fatherland and let's not let it go into the hands of the devil," Ilic, who is also infrastructure minister in the caretaker cabinet, told a campaign gathering in the village of Stavalj. Ilic: We won't hand Serbia over to devil He added his coalition partner, DSS leader Vojislav Kostunica, will form "another successful government" after May 11. Ilic stressed that the rural areas will be the backbone of Serbia's evenly spread development in the future. Religion Minister Radomir Naumov, DSS, also spoke at the rally to say that "only a responsible and state-building national government can preserve the country's territorial wholeness, enable continued European integration, further economic development and fight against corruption". Meantime in Belgrade, the DSS accused the DS leader and Serbia's president, Boris Tadic, of not convening a meeting of the state team for Kosovo ahead of tomorrow's UN Security Council session. Kostunica's adviser Branislav Ristivojevic said in a statement for Tanjug that this came about since Tadic has "new coalition associates, Canak and Dinkic, with whom he creates a new policy". "Both Canak and Dinkic, as experts, have already let the public know about a number of their ideas. Dinkic demands that Serbia should not pay the Kosovo debt, and thus recognize this false state, which shows he has already calculated the price of Kosovo's recognition," Rustivojevic said. "Canak, as an expert in breaking up the state, has several diverse ideas, and the most important one is that Serbia should recognize Kosovo, as a prelude to Vojvodina's independence tomorrow," he continued. "We all remember that German Ambassador Zobel openly spoke about this sinister plan and therefore, regardless of what Boris Tadic says in New York, it is clear that the Canak-DS-G17 Plus coalition is not to be trusted on absolutely any issue any longer," the prime minister's adviser said. "Not a single word of theirs can be trusted. In fact, they can be trusted precisely as much as their friend Solana who bombed Serbia, who armed Haradinaj and Thaci, and who traveled to Pristina one day after the proclamation of this NATO state to congratulate them," Ristivojevic concluded in his statement today.
