Olga Kavran says that no-one ever said that Ratko Mladic’s arrest was the only condition for signing the SAA. Asked whether Hague Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz would “forgive” Serbia for Mladic and allow Serbia to sign the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) with the EU before the May 11 elections, the Hague spokeswoman said that “when Brammertz says full cooperation with the Hague, he does not just mean the extradition of Mladic, but a number of elements.” Hague: Mladic not only SAA condition “Brammertz expects Serbia, through cooperation with the Tribunal, to enable access to archives and witnesses, and continue to search for the remaining fugitives,” she told daily Glas Javnosti. Kavran could not confirm whether the prosecutor would be visiting Belgrade on April 17. “I cannot say exactly when it will be, but he does wish to make his first official visit to Belgrade,” the spokeswoman said.
