The man detained yesterday by Macedonia's police is not Boban Mitic, it has emerged. Mitic, 37, is a suspect in a quadruple murder that happened last month near Bujanovac in southern Serbia, when his wife, two daughters and mother-in-law were shot and killed. Quadruple murder suspect still at large Macedonian police spokesman Ivo Kotevski told Beta news agency, that initially carried the news that Mitic was arrested in the neighboring country, that the Serbian national detained at the Macedonian-Greek border was identified and released later Saturday. Macedonians contacted the Interpol, took the man's fingerprints, compared the photos and determined that he was not the suspect. Kotevski added that the Serbian embassy in Skopje was notified of the arrest.
