The DS has criticized Slobodan Samardzic “for refusing to meet Kosovo Serbs not belonging to his party.” The Democratic Party (DS) alleges that the Kosovo minister is distributing state funds selectively, according to the party affiliations of individuals and municipal coordinators in Kosovo. DS accuses Samardzic of using Kosovo They claim that this is a glaring abuse of state functions, and that Samardzic should not be distributing funds in Kosovo along party lines, says the party in a statement. “It’s impermissible that a minister is exploiting the most important matters of state for promotion of his own party, and is introducing party division among the Serb population in Kosovo, which, more than ever, requires unity and impartial support,” says the DS. It stresses that Kosovo is not, and must not be, a party matter. “It’s impermissible that one of the most important matters of state is being used for the purposes of winning votes,” the statement concludes.
