A former member of the Vukovar Territorial Defense Milorad Pejić has been arrested for his part in the 1991 Ovčara farm massacre.

A former member of the Vukovar Territorial Defense Milorad Pejic has been arrested for his part in the 1991 Ovcara farm massacre. The War Crimes Prosecution states that Pejic, born in Vukovar, was arrested on March 19 at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, on an international arrest warrant. New arrest over Ovcara massacre The prosecution says that the application to conduct an investigation, on the basis of which he was apprehended, was submitted back in December 2003. Pejic was unavailable to the authorities as he was living in the town of Corby in the UK where he worked as a locksmith. The prosecution, it is reported, has proposed to the War Crimes Chamber for the suspect to be placed in custody. As a member of the Vukovar Territorial Defense, he is suspected of participating in the murder of around 200 Croatian prisoners-of-war at Ovcara farm in November 1991, the prosecution adds.
