A leading Kosovo Serb official wants to know whether the May 11 Serbian elections are to take place in Kosovo as well. President of the Serb National Council of Kosovo Executive Board Rada Trajkovic reiterated that there had been talk that elections in Serbian areas in Kosovo would be called at the same time as in Serbia, since that had been one of the arguments of the authorities in Belgrade when the Kosovo Serbs had been asked to boycott the regional elections. Serbian elections to take place in Kosovo? “I want to hear and understand, above all, messages from my government in Belgrade on that matter,” she said. According to Trajkovic, a solid proposal had to be presented by state institutions that was agreed on with the international community, and had to comply fully with Resolution 1244.
