A leading Vojvodina official says there won't be any incidents in Vojvodina after Hungary and Croatia’s recognition of Kosovo. President of the Vojvodina Executive Bojan Pajtic dismissed statements made by members of the Serb Radical Party (SRS) about the existence of a scenario to provoke unrest in the light of Croatia and Hungary’s recognition of Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence. “No incidents in Vojvodina” “No department has any such information,” said Pajtic. “Security in Vojvodina won’t be affected, and in the event of isolated excesses we will know that single parties stand behind them,” he warned, adding that the SRS were trying to spread fear before the elections.
