The Serb Radical Party (SRS) will stand independently at the coming parliamentary elections. SRS official Milorad Mircic said that the Democratic Party (DS) would definitely not be a possible coalition partner once the elections were over. SRS to run independently at elections “We are standing independently like we have in the past, and it is realistic to believe that we will be able to form a government at both national and provincial level, and that we will win once again in Novi Sad and at least half of Vojvodina’s municipalities,” Mircic said at a press conference in Novi Sad. He said that the SRS would not form a coalition with the DS, because its policies were “destructive to Serbia.” “The West rewarded Boris Tadic for his presidential election victory by taking Kosovo away, and if the so-called pro-European option wins once again, they might take the Raska region or Vojvodina,” Mircic said. He accused the DS of encouraging autonomy, adding that the agreement reached yesterday between G17 Plus and the DS to stand jointly at the elections represented “a resumption of a political tandem of Ivana Dulic-Markovic and Bojan Pajtic, with the goal of Vojvodina seceding from Serbia at the first given opportunity.”
