Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic is today in Zvecan, northern Kosovo. He told Beta news agency, after crossing into the province despite KFOR's decision to seal off two administrative line checkpoints, and without NATO troops' escort, that no customs posts should separate Raska, in central Serbia, from Leposavic, Kosovska Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, in Kosovo. Dinkic in north: No need for customs posts "I think we must do all we can to establish economic sovereignty in those parts of Kosovo and Metohija where Serbs live, and all our ministers are doing their jobs, implementing our Action Plan," Dinkic said, in reference to a Kosovo plan the government adopted, which is labeled a state secret. Serbs in the north yesterday torched two such control posts, and said they will not tolerate establishment of customs posts by the fake state of Kosovo. Dinkic today in Zvecan said Belgrade is set to invest significant amounts in the coming period to modernize production and boost employment in the province. After his meeting with local businessmen, Dinkic explained that starting today, all companies in Kosovo owned by Serbs will become a part of the regular system of the state of Serbia's budget subsidies. "My ministry will hold meetings with these companies' managers each Friday. We have agreed that they will come up with business plans by mid-March so that we can prepare privatizations by the end of the year," he explained. According to the minister, the government aims to productively employ as many people as possible, and to take over the reconstruction and privatization of the Trepca mining complex, but also other companies in the province, that will be taken over by Serbia's Privatization Agency. Dinkic will also meet with the head of the district of Kosovska Mitrovica and northern Kosovo municipal presidents and coordinators today.
