Court approves Red Star investigation

The Belgrade District Court has begun an investigation into three former Red Star FC officials. They have been remanded in custody for a period of 30 days. Court approves Red Star investigation Investigative Judge Branislav Pantelic told the Tanjug news agency that after questioning Dragan Dzajic, Vladimir Cvetkovic and Milos Marinkovic, a decision had been taken to launch an investigation against the three men and remand them in custody for 30 days, on suspicion of having abused their powers within the club’s administration. Questioning was conducted last night and lasted about two hours. The three former Red Star officials are suspected of abusing their positions and illegally embezzling close to EUR 5.1mn from the transfer of former player Goran Drulic to Spain’s Real Zaragoza. Dzajic, Cvetkovic and Marinkovic were arrested on Tuesday, February 5.

Questioning was conducted last night and lasted about two hours.

The three former Red Star officials are suspected of abusing their positions and illegally embezzling close to EUR 5.1mn from the transfer of former player Goran Drulić to Spain’s Real Zaragoza.

Džajić, Cvetković and Marinković were arrested on Tuesday, February 5.
