The deputy foreign minister says that Serbia is doing everything it can to complete cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. Milica Delevic told B92 that President of the National Council for Hague Cooperation Rasim Ljajic would be heading to Brussels on Wednesday in order to inform the European Union’s Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn of steps Serbia had taken to complete Hague cooperation. “Belgrade working on Hague cooperation“ Delevic said that Belgrade was doing everything in its power to secure good cooperation with the Tribunal. “Belgrade is trying to explain that it is doing everything it can to achieve full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, knowing that cooperation will only be complete once all the fugitives have been extradited to The Hague. I personally believe there are no countries within the European Union that do not want to see Serbia get closer to membership,” she stressed. “I think that all these countries have differences of opinion on whether to insist on complete fulfillment of all conditions or offer some leeway for the conditions to be met at a later date,” Delevic said. She said that in the upcoming discussions with the EU on withdrawing the visa regime for Serbian citizens scheduled for January 30, it was essential to define what conditions Serbia needed to meet in order to receive a place on the white Schengen list. “The length of the talks will depend on how fast Serbia meets these conditions,” the deputy foreign minister said.
