The Bosnian Serb entity, the Republic of Srpska (RS) is this Wednesday marking its day. A holy liturgy in the temple of the Holy Trinity in Banja Luka, attended by RS President Rajko Kuzmanovic, opened the ceremonies to mark the day of St. Stefan, the patron saint of RS. Marking the 16th anniversary since the establishment of the Serb entity, RS and Serbian parliamentary speakers Igor Radojicic and Oliver Dulic signed a protocol on parliamentary cooperation. The ceremony was attended by the presidents of Serbia and RS - Boris Tadic and Rajko Kuzmanovic, RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, the Serb member in the Bosnian Presidency, Nebojsa Radmanovic, Bosnian Council of Ministers President Nikola Spiric and the chairman of the Bosnian Parliamentary Assembly House of Representatives Milorad Zivkovic. The protocol calls for cooperation between the two parliaments on the basis of the previously signed Agreement on Special Parallel Relations Between RS and Serbia. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica congratulated Kuzmanovic and Dodik the RS holiday today. Kostunica underlined the importance of further strengthening of the links between Serbia and the RS on the basis of the Agreement on Special and Parallel Relations. He said that in the coming period, apart from readiness to provide all the necessary support to the Bosnian Serbs, Serbia will continue to strengthen economic ties with the entity. Kostunica stated that Serbia urges respect of the UN Charter and Security Council decisions and that, as a guarantor of the Dayton Peace Accords, "it firmly holds that the principles of international law are inviolable and that the protection and preservation of all rights of the Serb nation are the duty and obligation that are based on the Dayton Peace Accords."
