Police in Sremska Mitrovica arrested a postman for abuse and theft, MUP says. The postman, employed with the local post office in the Vojvodina town, was identified as 51-year-old Slavko S. Letter-snatching postman behind bars Police suspect he took home a large number of letters this December, "to steal money and other valuables" from them. A total of 540 letters and parcels, along with EUR 370, USD 140 and "a fairly large quantity" of gold jewelry was confiscated in his apartment.
