The Saturday papers report about the EU conclusions regarding Serbia and Dragan Djilas rescuing a journalist from a river. ALO—"Djilas the savior" the newspaper reports about Minister Dragan Djilas' assistance to a reporter whose car skidded off the road and into a river in the south of the country yesterday. Press: EU offer, minister's heroics "Fake argument between Voja Kostunica and Boris Tadic" explores the developments in the Serbian political scene in the wake of the calling of presidential elections. Turning to media and show business, the paper complains, "This Big Brother, too, with no sex", then looks into an incident caused by a well-known Belgrade stripper who slapped her seven-year-old son's school bully, and ends with a headline quote from former German football ace and FK Partizan coach Lothar Matthaus' Serbian wife, "I am not interested in Lothar, or that kid", the latter being the German's alleged young new girlfriend. As for the EU's announced fast-track membership in exchange for Kosovo, the news is explored under the headline, "Serbia to jump queue to EU". DANAS—The daily's weekend double issue leads with the presidential ballot: "Tadic and Nikolic confirmed candidates". "All Serbia's mafias" is about a large number of organized criminal groups discovered in Serbia during this year, and about a small number of cases that were processed in courts.
