The papers today still dwell on Kosovo and football, but the province's status now has priority on the front pages. ALO – "Albanians delay independence until Serbian elections", the daily says, and notes that this decision was made under pressure from the western countries. Press: Kosovo in absolute focus More on the ongoing Red Star investigation that is now entering financial report checking phase under the headline, "Aca Bulic's wife took EUR 2mn from transfers". BLIC – The French ambassador to Serbia, Jean Francois Terral, is making a connection between Kosovo and Serbia's EU ambition in an interview printed under the headline, "With no Kosovo solution, Serbia will hardly reach EU". Serbia's legendary football player and former Red Star official Dragan Dzajic says, "I have not yet decided on the offer to be the Eagle's director", explaining his stand amid speculation that he will become the national squad's director. BORBA – Belgrade's efforts ahead of a Kosovo status decision and warnings to advocates of the province's independence are reported under, "Dangerous play with fire". Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic explains that the free share distribution to citizens is, "A state campaign". GAZETA – "D Day dawns", the daily reminds that until recently, December 10 was seen as the decisive day in the Kosovo status saga. His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle's condition is reported about in a piece entitled, "How Pavle beat death". GLAS JAVNOSTI – Kosovo Serbs, according to the daily, waited for this Monday with a dose of fear: "D Day – quite (ab)normal daily business", reads the headline. Meanwhile, the Topola mayor, stealing the media limelight with his highly controversial statements that included advocating setting fire to B92 and keeping Romas behind barbed wire, tells the paper, "My family and I are receiving death threats". "Carving out our destiny over breakfast" announces the EU ministerial meeting today. DANAS – The liberal daily also leads with Kosovo, and says on the front page, "Belgrade and Moscow want UN to continue talks". "Uncertain consequences of a negative report", is about the Del Ponte cooperation document due at the UN SC. One of Serbia's finest security issues analyst, Vreme weekly's Milos Vasic, writes, "Pescanik: Radicals sow, New Serbia harvests". KURIR – The tabloid has fun with the Kosovo status date: "D Day, almost". POLITIKA – The pro-government paper is much more serious and says on the front page, "Self-proclaimed independence would cause conflict". "Red Star executives remanded in prison", the daily says, and explaines that the three club officials denied charged against them. Finally, "Kuzmanovic new RS president" tops regional news. PRESS – Kurir's nemesis in the world of the Serbian yellow press leads with Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic's statement: "We will not give Kosovo away". As for the Red Star scandal, the front page lists well-known names the paper alleges are connected to the investigation, "Ceca, Piksi, Dzaja, Zeka..."
