Serbia's aim to become EU candidate by 2008 is ambitious but attainable, Olli Rehn says. The EU Enlargement Commissioner was speaking to reporters Sunday in Tallinn, Estonia, Beta news agency reported. Rehn: Belgrade EU goal ambitious, but possible "That's a highly ambitious aim, but still within the range of the possible," Rehn added. Rehn underlined the possibility of Serbia quickly accomplishing full cooperation with the Hague, which would enable the signing of the Agreement on Stabilization and Association, initialed on Nov. 7. World news agencies reiterate that the Tribunal demands that Belgrade extradite General Ratko Mladi', adding that the negotiations with the EU are also encumbered with the issue of Kosovo's status, i.e. with the opposite stands on that matter taken by Serbian authorities, Russia, the U.S. and the EU. "The Agreement on Stabilization and Association is, indeed, a gateway to EU membership candidate status," Olli Rehn said.
