Industrial production in Serbia in September was 0.3 percent lower than in the same month 2006. At the same time, it was up 2.6 percent compared to last year's average, the Statistical Office announced today. Industrial production slightly lower In the period between January and September, the industry grew 4.7 percent, with food processing and machine making industries, electrical power producers and those making basic metals all contributing to the result. The greatest influence to the mild drop in the value of Serbia's industrial production in September 2007 came from light metals, apparel, non-metal minerals and tobacco production sectors. The industry in September also had a slide of two percent compared to August this year.
