The Vukovar Municipal Court has given the order for issuing a warrant for the arrest of Miroslav Radic. Radic, a former JNA officer with the rank of captain, was last week cleared by the Hague Tribunal of all charges related to the 1991 Ovcara farm war crime. He is suspected of committing war crimes in Vukovar in 1991 against civilians and war prisoners and personally killing one Croatian soldier. Radic worked to create Greater Serbia, Croatia says Nevertheless, is now suspected by Croatia of committing war crimes in Vukovar in the fall of 1991, "against civilians and war prisoners and personally killing one Croatian soldier." Radic will be indicted for allegedly “executing the commands to attack Vukovar and displace or kill the non-Serb residents, destroy the non-Serb culture and heritage and occupy the territory in an effort to create Greater Serbia.” “He implemented the orders of Gen. Veljko Kadijevic and Lt. Gen. Blagoje Adzic, who planned and ordered the attack on Vukovar, as well as the orders of Mile Mrksic, commander of the 1st Motorized Tank Brigade,” according to the Vukovar prosecutor's office. Radic is also accused of violating international law during the attack by ordering fire at the city without question while there were still some 50,000 people inhabiting it, mostly civilians, the proscution says. The prosecutor's office also stated that Radic ordered soldiers from his unit to "kill and torture civilians and soldiers and even participated in the killings himself after the fall of Vukovar." An indictment was already issued in 2002 by the municipal court in that town which never took effect because Radic's defense team never responded to the indictment. The indictment included Radic, Mrksic, Sljivancanin, Kadijevic, Adzic, Zvonko Jurjevic, Bozidar Stevanovic, Zivota Panic, Vojislav Seselj and Goran Hadzic. Miroslav Radic (FoNet)
