Sources say Javier Solana, Olli Rehn and Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will meet in New York on September 28. NATO and EU sources confirmed for Tanjug Monday that EU foreign policy chief, EU enlargement commissioner and NATO secretary general will take part in a Contact Group ministerial meeting dedicated to Kosovo. Solana, Rehn, Scheffer in New York meeting The New York meeting will begin at 5 p.m. eastern time, and it will be aimed at setting the timetable of the first round of direct negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, due to take place at the EU Headquarters in New York scheduled for 9 a.m. the following day, September 29. Issues such as dynamics of the negotiations after the New York talks are expected to top the agenda. "It would not be surprising in the least if new meetings on the issue were held immediately after the New York talks," a European diplomatic sources told the agency, underlining that Vienna was the main candidate for hosting such meetings. On the sidelines of the session of the UN General Assembly, Solana, Rehn and Scheffer are also expected to meet with President Boris Tadic, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, and a number of other officials. The New York meeting will begin at 5 p.m. eastern time, and it will be aimed at setting the timetable of the first round of direct negotiations between Belgrade and Priština, due to take place at the EU Headquarters in New York scheduled for 9 a.m. the following day, September 29.

Issues such as dynamics of the negotiations after the New York talks are expected to top the agenda.
