Valjevo District Court sentenced Milan Ciric (49) to 3 years imprisonment for raping his neighbor, an underage boy. The investigation established that on the night of August 2 and 3, 2005, at a fair in the suburb of Suva Cesma, Ciric, under the influence of alcohol, threatened then sexually assaulted I.P. - then still a minor - after catching him in the act of relieving himself outside. Rapist gets 3 years for child abuse Valjevo County Criminal Court , with Judge Nadezda Zivic presiding, in delivering the most lenient sentence possible for such a crime, cited as alleviating circumstances the fact he had no previous criminal record, that he was a widower and that he was taking care of his eight-year old son all by himself. Ciric will be sent to prison, upon the verdict becoming legally effective. Statistics from the Interior Ministry (MUP) show that in the first seven months of this year there have been 34 cases of child abuse, involving eleven boys and twenty-three girls. Thirty-six people have thus far been charged.

Ćirić will be sent to prison, upon the verdict becoming legally effective.
