Voicing satisfaction that a new democratic government was formed in Serbia during Germany’s presidency over the European Union, Zobel told B92 on June 29 that Serbia got back on a path towards the European Union.

“I believe we would be able to successfully finalize the Stabilization and Association talks with Serbia,” he said.

“Once it has been achieved, Serbia would in the near future become eligible for full-fledged EU membership candidacy. In my opinion, Serbia could thus join the family of European peoples and offer better perspective to its citizens,” Zobel added.
