“Serbia fully prepared for new Kosovo talks”
He said Serbia managed to prevent the adoption of a new resolution in the Security Council, the aim of which was to enable the province’s independence, and listed this among the country’s achievements in the process so far.“Serbia and Russia’s joint policy based on the respect of international law and primarily the UN Charter will help direct the Kosovo status resolution process towards new and proper negotiations,” Koštunica added.
“Serbia is fully prepared for new talks on Kosovo-Metohija which would naturally be organized solely under the UN Security Council mandate,” he stressed.
Koštunica also said it was important for the parliament to confirm the principles of the country’s Kosovo policy and determine a clear mandate for conducting all further talks on the province’s future status.
