Serbia boast four players who are already senior internationals and coach Miroslav Đukić has explained his players offer experience beyond their years because of “the financial situation in Serbia.”

"In our country we don't have enough money to buy players so we have to develop them ourselves while the best players are bought by foreign clubs," he said.

According to Đukić, that means that younger players “get the chance to play in the first team at their clubs earlier than they might have done elsewhere, and means in turn that they're ready for international football when the chance comes."

Serbia however are going into the final under a cloud and face a UEFA disciplinary hearing on July 12 following charges of racist chants from their followers towards England's black players last week.

UEFA have stressed their zero tolerance towards racism again this week with the referee permitted to stop the game if there are any incidents of racist abuse during the match.
