Serbia gets first "Recycling Park"

“We here with wish to express our gratitude to the local community that has been our major support ever since we set up a recycling unit in our plant,” company owner Nikola Kotur said at the park’s opening.

“We were inspired by French car manufacturer Peugeot who plants a tree for each car it produces out of recycled materials,” he added.

Kotur underscored that the project was sponsored by the Kruševac city municipality, with the help of USAID and the Mercy Corps whose representatives also attended the opening.

USAID in cooperation with Mercy Corps organization granted US$ 25,000 worth of plastic recycling equipment to the Nikolo Company within its “Recycling and Employment Alternatives Program.”
