NOVI SAD Vojvodina Assembly President says he is ready to stage protests if the Government refused to cancel Horgos-Pozega contract. Vojvodina Assembly President Bojan Kostres said he was ready to call Vojvodina citizens to take the protest against the Horgos-Pozega highway construction onto the streets, if the Serbian Government declined to rescind the concession contract it signed with the Spanish-Austrian consortium FCC – Alpina Mayreder in Belgrade Friday. "Gov't should annul highway contract" “The contract is detrimental to Vojvodina and its citizens,” Kostres told TV Panonija, adding he planned to use all available means to annul the contract, including staging citizens' protests throughout Vojvodina. President of the Vojvodina Executive Council Bojan Pajtic said that the validity and legitimacy of the contract needed to be looked into. The concession contract has been valued at EUR 1.5bn.

President of the Vojvodina Executive Council Bojan Pajtić said that the validity and legitimacy of the contract needed to be looked into.

The concession contract has been valued at EUR 1.5bn.
