DS - DSS talks to continue next week

At their first meeting, the DS and DSS agreed on five principles for the future government, namely preserving Kosovo within Serbia, resuming the European integration process, achieving co-operation with the Hague Tribunal, prompting the fight against corruption and suppressing poverty.

In the meantime, the DSS introduced a new precondition by saying that one and the same party cannot occupy posts of the prime minister and the president. The G17 Plus backed the DSS on the matter.

“If the Serbian President comes from the DS ranks, then the Prime Minister post must go to the DSS, and vice versa. If this principle is agreed on, then we may see eye to eye on other personnel issues regarding the next government. We must adhere to a fair distribution of responsibility”, DSS official Milan Parivodić told B92.
