Belgrade, Priština receive modified plan

“The plan offers no justification for taking away Serbian territory, it only hints at the Albanian separatists’ threats of violence unless the province gains independence,” Mladenović told journalists.

Kosovo president Fatmir Sejdiu, on the other hands, said Priština was satisfied with the latest version of the plan.

“Initial analyses show no major changes that could modify the plan’s essence took place,” Sejdiu said after a meeting with UNMIK chief Joachim Ruecker.

B92 has learned earlier that the essence of the original plan would remain the same.

One major change concerns the Kosovo constitution adopting procedure, with Ahtisaari accepting Priština team’s proposal facilitating the process.

Martti Ahtisaari’s office announced that the content of the proposal would be made public Saturday in Vienna.
