“Two ways towards independence”

The back-up plan would entail the adoption of a more moderate resolution to allow UN SC member states to bilaterally recognize the independence of Kosovo.

In that case, the Resolution of the Serbian Parliament would play a significant role in the settlement process, accompanied by an intense diplomatic activity of Belgrade.

“Since the second scenario is more likely to happen, state institutions should enhance their activity and engage in a widespread diplomatic dialogue. It is important to stimulate all countries, especially those in Europe, convey the unyielding determination of Serbia and advise the countries against bilateral recognition of Kosovo”, Fatić concluded.
