Serbia welcomes visitors with signs worth 1 mn euros

National Investment Plan (NIP) will fund the entire project with one million euros Dimitrijević said, adding the present phase will be followed by the second phase set to  begin in four to five weeks, which will include placement of tourist signaling in national parks and at historical monuments under international protection.

According to Dimitrijević, 10 percent of the most important monuments of culture in Serbia will be included in the project, while the posts themselves will be “brown with white inscriptions, according to international standards”.

The minister also said that NIP funded tourist projects with 10 million last year, while in the first three months of this year the figure will reach 20 million euros.

Dimitrijević also commented on, in his words, some domestic media’s negative opinion about Serbia’s CNN commercials.

“I still believe that these videos are good for the country's political and general image. This deal is very favourable and according to the first results, 120 million people in Europe have watched these videos”, Dimitrijević was quoted as saying.
