Serbian banking introduces track record
With the client’s consent, the bank will request a report form the Credit Department to establish the client’s payment routine. If the client failed to pay the installments, the bank could refuse to grand the loan. The Credit Department keeps track of client’s installment history and establishes and marks positive and negative instances.
Banks have an easy and rapid access to the Credit Department, and reports can be obtained within seconds. Once obtained from the Credit Department, the data is kept under a secured system to avoid abuse.
Most Serbians, some 98 percent, pay installments regularly. The Credit Department keeps a record of 3.5 million citizens and 160 thousands companies and entrepreneurs. 2.5 million reports on credit standings have been issued so far.
