Jovanović: I would sign independence

“The fact is that Kosovo has been independent for eight years now. Tadić signed Partnership for Peace membership, while Koštunica did the same with CEFTA agreement, which does not include Kosovo. In this way, both the prime minister and the president have recognized the reality, in other words, that Kosovo is already independent. I would have no problem singing that independence, under certain conditions”, Jovanović was quoted.

He added he would explain such a move to the Serbian citizens by saying he did not wish to see “a new Iraq or Afghanistan in Kosovo”.

Jovanović also said his party would enter post-election coalitions with Democrats and ethnic minorities’ parties, ruling out cooperation with Koštunica, Dinkić, Socialists and Radicals.
